Returns Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth and prompt resolution. These terms comply with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Returning Items – General Instructions

Please include your order number, your contact details, and the reason for return with the returned item(s). Including a copy of your invoice will help us process your return faster.

All items must be inspected upon delivery. Any damages or discrepancies must be reported to us within 3 working days of receipt.

We recommend retaining the original packaging until you have inspected your item(s), especially if a return may be necessary.

Return of Non Faulty Goods

If you wish to return an item that is not faulty, you have 30 calendar days from the date you receive your order to notify us via email and return the item.

  • Products must be returned in unused condition, in original, undamaged packaging, with all components included.
  • Packaging must be free from writing, labels, stickers, or tape, and include no broken seals.
  • Products that have been installed, used, or had data inputted (where applicable) cannot be returned.

Refund Conditions:

  • The full outbound delivery cost will be refunded only if the entire order is returned.
  • Return postage costs are your responsibility and are non-refundable.
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service, as we cannot process refunds for items lost or damaged in transit.
  • We do not offer product exchanges. To change an item, please return it for a refund and place a new order.
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned item(s) and confirming they meet our return criteria.

Return of Faulty Goods

If your item is faulty, please contact us via email at sales@directtradesupplies.co.uk with:

  • A description of the fault
  • A clear photo or video of the issue
  • Your order number

We cannot proceed with any replacements or returns until this information is provided.

  • For items under 6 months old, we will arrange for a return or replacement at our cost.
  • For items over 6 months old and still within the manufacturer’s warranty, the cost of return postage is the responsibility of the sender.

In some cases, products may need to be assessed by the manufacturer. Refunds or replacements will only be processed if the fault is verified and not the result of incorrect installation, misuse, or accidental damage.

Return Postage & Refunds (Faulty Items)

Please return faulty goods via Royal Mail Signed For  2nd Class. We will reimburse this postage cost upon receipt of a valid proof of postage.

  • If a different return method is used, we will only refund the equivalent of the standard 2nd Class Signed For service.
  • We cannot be held responsible for items returned via untracked services or that are lost in transit.

EV Chargers

If your Electric Vehicle Charger develops a fault, please contact the manufacturer directly. Most EV chargers are supported by a direct manufacturer warranty, and returns or replacements must be initiated through their support process.
